松室真一郎

1979年、長崎県五島列島生まれ。

20歳でファッションスタイリストを志し渡英。
その滞在中に写真と出会い、ファッション写真ではなく、
モノクロによるファインアート写真に強く惹かれる。

帰国後はモノクロフィルムによる作品制作を始め、
暗室でのプリントワークに没頭する。

現在はデジタルカメラとデジタルプリントを用い、モノクロ作品を制作している。

Shinichiro Matsumuro

Born in 1979 on the Goto Islands, Nagasaki, Japan.

At the age of 20, he moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a career as a fashion stylist. During his time there, he discovered photography and became deeply drawn not to fashion photography, but to monochrome fine art photography.

After returning to Japan, he began creating works on black-and-white film and immersed himself in the craft of darkroom printing.

Today, he creates monochrome photographic works using digital cameras and digital printing.
